Alexandria “Allie” Brown (she/they) is a multidisciplinary healer with a background in health equity and social justice. Growing up between Oakland and Berkeley, CA, activism and wellness were part of the fabric of her life and culture. Her work focuses on the meaningful inclusion of marginalized people within the wellness industry and the radical healing of BIPOC + LGBTQIA (+) folx. She believes in the power of accessing our inner self to find and live by our personal guiding light. With clients like Spotify, Paramount Pictures, Black Lives Matter, and the ACLU, Allie brings a holistic approach to corporate and community wellness.
Allie holds Bachelor’s degrees from Occidental College in Urban and Environmental Policy and Spanish, where her studies focused on the interconnection between the environment, health, and economic + reproductive justice. Some examples of her work include coordinating a youth-led food justice community development program in Oaxaca, Mexico. She has also worked with Black hairstylists in South LA, to better substantiate the link between chemicals in beauty products and adverse reproductive health effects.
Allie believes that the microcosm of our bodies (physical, mental, and spiritual) is a reflection of the macrocosm that is the universe and the world at large. Her interest in this connection led her to a career in the healing arts. Her passion for holistic health, in combination with finding ways to cope and heal from her own health issues, led her to explore and learn alternative methods of healing such as Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Reiki (Intuitive Healing), Sound Healing, Qi Gong and much more. She is passionate about sharing these modalities with others and holding space for people on their healing journeys.
Recently, she completed a five-year program in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture + Herbal Medicine) and earned her Master of Science degree. During her clinical internship at Emperor's College in Santa Monica, she provided a wide array of alternative healing services, including Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine Prescriptions, Cupping, Electroacupuncture, Lifestyle Advice and more. She is pursuing her board certification as a licensed Acupuncturist + Herbalist.
